Wellness on the Water is a Monona's newest fitness series offered by Monona Parks & Recreation.The Wellness on the Water goal is to facilitate improvement of the overall health and wellness within our local community by educating and empowering individuals through fitness.
This exercise series starts in May and runs through September. The 2022 schedule will be posted here in April 2022.

An interval class designed for individuals new to bootcamp. A variety of exercises to increase power, agility, cardio, endurance and overall strength will be introduced with modifications for all levels.
Total body workout designed to sculpt every major muscle group by combining yoga postures with weights, cardio and plyometrics. This class adds more cardio and plyometrics than our basic Yoga. Sculpt Yoga is a great compliment to your regular yoga practice.
Sync up with the rhythmic wisdom of nature with Sunrise Yoga. These mindful practices will introduce you to new morning rituals, including awareness cultivation practices, meditations,gentle sequences, and breath based sun salutations. Enter into your day grounded, centered, and in tune with the harmony of life.
The sequences will help you build strength and flexibility. The focus is on linking breath with movement and detailed alignment. This class is moderately paced so you will learn the fundamental yoga postures to set you up for a successful yoga practice.
WERQ is the fiercely fun dance fitness class based on pop, rock, and hip hop music. The warm up previews the dance steps in class and the cool down combines yoga-inspired static stretching and balance poses. WERQ is taught by Certified Fitness Professionals, so the WERQout is safe and effective.
Yin Yoga is a gentle and relaxing all-level class that works deeply into the connective tissues and joints of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine and is suitable to all levels of students through extended holds of postures. Please bring bolster or small pillow & blanket to class.
The “power” in Power yoga isn’t about powering through the poses, but instead, finding your own power within. We will practice traditional postures, focus on alignment, and link them together using your breath. When challenged physically, the mind can begin to clear, and as the breath becomes steady and deeper, you’ll feel your own energy flow stronger, allowing your spirit to shine. Detoxify the body and purify the mind in this powerful class and leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Not recommended for brand new students. All-levels to Intermediate welcome.
This active practice links dynamic poses with breath in flowing sequences. A focus on alignment and a variety of expressions of poses allows you to meet the unique needs of your body. Childcare is available while you enjoy workout time child free.
