Please consider joining the Monona Fire Department. The department has both paid and Paid-on-Call members who provide a valuable service to their neighbors and the community. As a Paid-on-Call member you will join a group of dedicated, highly trained men and women who value both safety and community service.

What Does it Take to Join?
  • Be at least 19 years of age
  • Have a desire to serve the community
  • Have a willingness to learn
  • Pass a basic physical exam

Equipment & Training
The city provides the latest in equipment and training necessary to make you a firefighter. Training is provided by the Monona Fire Department, MATC, and othBecome a Volunteerer specialized organizations. Training drills are held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 7 p.m., and the second Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
