Teen Volunteers Summer Library Program

Youth entering grade 6 to grade 12 are invited to apply for a position as a Volunteer for the Monona Public Library summer program.

Teen Volunteer Activities
Junior Volunteers sign readers of all ages up for the Reading Adventures Challenge and they give out and record reading prizes. 
Volunteers also:
Help with events - check in, crowd control, set up and clean up, etc
Prepare crafts, games, contests, decorations. 
Interact with patrons of all ages, demonstrate skills such as cooperation and responsibility 
Receive an invitation to attend special Teen Volunteer events with a friend
Receive prizes and a letter of reference for college scholarship applications or job resumes 

Two mandatory training dates are listed as part of the Teen Summer Volunteer Application. 
Attendance at both trainings is required.

Beginning April 1st, check back here to apply online for the Teen Volunteer position at the Monona Public Library. The deadline for completing applications is May 15 at library closing. 

Applicants who are accepted into the program will be emailed prior to the first training date. Applicants who are not chosen for a position this summer are encouraged to apply again next April.
