This section contains information that is important to parents/guardians and to their young athletes. Reading and following these instructions will help assure that race day will be a safe and enjoyable day for kids and adults alike.
We will have early check in on Friday Night from 6:30-8:00 pm at the Monona Community Center. You will also be able to check in on race day to pick up your race packet, T-shirt and goody bag starting at 7:30 am. Bib pick up will be held on the morning of the event beginning at 7:30 am including bib number written on arm for the swim portion. We suggest not checking in too early. You may check in at a time that is convenient based on your child's age group swim start time (see below for details). Signs will direct you to the check-in table. If the race is not full there will be registration on race day no later than 8:00 am.
Placing Race Numbers:
You will have a race bib number to be pinned on the front of the t-shirt or running shorts (safety pins are available at check-in table). Check the information on this tag to be sure it is correct. If there is an error go to the "Registration" table for a correction.
There will be volunteers in the transition area to assist with proper race number placement.)
Age Group Swim Start Times:
We will be starting the triathlon with the U6 at 8:30 AM. At 8:45 AM we will proceed by age groups beginning with the 7-8 age group and ending with Level 2 participants
There will be many waves in each age-group, but your athlete must be at the event and ready no less than 30 minutes before the FIRST wave in his/her age-group to allow time to set up his/her transition area and be ready to swim. Please have your swimmer in the tennis courts 30 minutes before their group starts.
There is plenty of parking at Nuestro Mundo School, Winnequah School front lot and limited back lot, Schluter Road and the Dream Park on Healy. We are encouraging local residents to walk to this event!
