    LAST MONDAY OF THE MONTH AT 4PM Free. Drop in. All ages. Put on your hard hats and let’s build with all types of blocks! Imaginative play enhances gross motor skills along with socialization. Bring your construction workers and build away! We provide books to inspire your imagination. Join other LEGO® fans and build your own unique creation! Creations may be displayed in the Children's Room glass display case for a week. Children under age 8 must have an adult helper in the room at all times during the program. The library provides LEGO® bricks, LEGO® DUPLO blocks, good old fashioned wood blocks, and Lincoln Logs.

  21. AARP Safe Driving Course

    The AARP Smart Driver Safety Program is an updated classroom course. It is research based to help older drivers become more aware of changes that occur due to aging (vision, hearing and reaction time) and how to adjust accordingly. The four hour class will be offered at the Monona Senior Center on Thursday, October 27th starting at 12:30 p.m. The course covers topics such as: Defensive driving techniques, new traffic laws, and rules of the road How to deal with aggressive drivers How medications may affect driving How to safely use anti-lock brakes, air bags, and safety belts How to minimize distraction, including cell phone use, while driving Navigating round-abouts Course cost is only $15 for AARP members and $20 for nonmembers. You may also be eligible to receive an insurance discount, so consult your agent for details. Call 222-3415 to register.
