The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources’ Project Learning Tree program is looking for enthusiastic individuals to train early educators to use the new Early Childhood Experiences Program. Trainers will learn how to deliver a high quality workshop and train others to use the activity guide and music CD designed for children from three to six years old.  Materials encourage children to explore the natural world around them through music, art, literature, math, and movement.  All activities meet the National Association for the Education of Young Children criteria for curriculum, the Head Start Child Outcomes Framework and the North American Association for Environmental Education’s Early childhood Guidelines for Excellence.

Participants will receive hands-on training, meet current trainers in the network, and have fun learning about Wisconsin’s natural resources.  Training, meals and materials are free.  The event runs from 9 am - 4 pm.  Campus lodging for the evening of September 22 will be available on a first-come first-served basis.  Please contact Christopher Tall, Christopher.Tall@wisconsin.gov or call 608-267-0495 for more information or to register for the workshop.  Funding provided in part through grants from the Wisconsin Environmental Education Board and the Natural Resources Foundation.
